Beach Cities Learning is looking for a full-time Behavior Technician ( Teacher's Aide) for our location in Long Beach for 2018/2019 school year.
Note: This is a 10-month position. Up to 35 hours per week. The hourly rate is $15.00 per hour.
This is an entry level, first shift position. It's perfect for part-time or online/ weekend students or recent graduates in Psychology, Social Work, Special Education, Sociology and Healthcare. This will be a great way to get into the field where you can use your theoretical knowledge and implement it in practice.
This position is also for candidates that are generally interested to work with children with special needs and want to make a difference in their lives.
Additionally, if you possess a Bachelor’s Degree in any field and pass your CBEST test you could also apply at CA Department of Education to become a Substitute Teacher, so you could teach for us a Sub and make twenty dollars per hour when we need you in a Sub Teacher role. You can be a Behavioral Tech and a Sub Teacher at the same time.

As a Behavior Technician, you’ll be a part of a school-based special education team.You’ll provide assistance to the teacher in the implementation of all program components such as: Clinical Program, Instruction, Special Education Services and Physical Fitness. You will be supported by a mentor, veteran behavior technicians and an on-site administrator manager.
